Below are past and present service and performance announcements regarding the Pocket NC machines.

  • 3/1111/5/2024: Please note that Penta’s newest machine offering, the V2-8Lite, is effectively the same as the V2-10 machine when it comes to most of the published resources. This means that the vast majority of the user resources that apply to the V2-10 also apply to the V2-8Lite. Please reach out to Penta with any questions on this subject.

  • 10/1/2024: As of 10/01/24, a Remote Service Subscription will be required for remote machine support and troubleshooting on any machine more than 2 years old or under ownership of anyone other than the original purchaser. For more information on this service, please refer to the product listing linked above.

  • 3/11/2024: All user resources specific to Kinetic Control have been moved to Kinetic Control User Resources. If a resource is missing or additional resources are needed, please reach out to service@pentamachine.com

  • 2/9/2022: Penta Machine has updated all user resources for Kinetic Control including the Pocket NC 101 Online Course which just re-launched this week. More information on the online course can be found here.

  • 1/10/2022: Please note that because it has been 5 years since we last sold V1 machines (silver and green machines) we have limited ability to support them. You can contact service@pocketnc.com and we’ll help you as we are able.

  • 11/1/2021: Kinetic Control updated software and user interface is now available. See overview here. TCPC and improved rotary unwind are available in this version. Kinetic Control will ship on all machines from November 1, 2021 onwards. Existing users can update following this tutorial here.

  • 5/14/2021: There is a new V2 First Part Tutorial now available! Learn the basics with this tutorial showing how to machine a part out of wax using Fusion 360 and the V2 machines.

  • 4/1/2021: Introducing Rotated Work Offsets (RWO)! Program parts using a WCS relative to the part or stock instead of the machine’s center of rotation. For more details check out this blog post and this tutorial.

  • 12/8/2020: With the most recent Pocket NC software version there should not be any problems connecting to MacOS Big Sur.

  • 10/1/2020: Fusion 360 has changed what will be available on their “ Personal License”. See Personal License changes from Fusion here.

  • 9/23/2020: While it has not been released yet, we do not recommend updating to MacOS Big Sur as it will cause connection issues. For more info on this, please see this page.
